This workshop focuses on the stages that teachers need to go through with their adolescent learners in the process of learning new vocabulary.  We’ll look at the start of the process as we present new vocabulary, and at the teaching methods and activities that follow in the practice and recycling stages. We’ll consider how modern coursebooks deal with presenting, practising and revising lexis in a way that helps secondary school students not only understand and remember new vocabulary, but also use it in their productive skills.
